i'm an idiot, i know.
my point was that i wanted to install a slide out drawer for the ipod in the empty dashboard console slot of my 91 volvo 240 sedan. i will be providing that picture (of my now empty console slot) when i become un-######ed.
wondering if anyone had any ideas, or similiar stealth installations. i dont want my ipod always visible from the outside, but dont want to have to hide it away everytime i get outta the car. i'm thinking drawer slide out style, but needed a car ipod holder thats not too thick (by thick i mean thick like an ipod case with a belt clip on it, vs one that has no belt clip and is therefore not as wide, doesnt bulge out your pants as much when its in your pocket)
why do i have a feeling that no one will answer me because i've already seemed to prove myself hopelessly stupid with the first post?

man jay2dub thats sick.
1.does it wobble around in the dock when you hit bumps?
2.do you find that you have to hold the back of the ipod so you can hit the buttons?
3.is it pain to take the ipod outta the dock everytime you get outta the car? or do you just leave it in their?

Nice, I am doing the same thing with my slide out cup holder in my F150. I have to give props to the best set up I have seen yet (http://forums.ipodlounge.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31037&highlight=tahoe) for the idea of a slide away dock.
See the cup holder under the stereo, that is where I have mounted my dock. I will post a new pic soon.
