Does anyone know the in-stock status of the iPod Shuffle in Apple Stores (if it's selling out in stores or not)? I want to see if I could get one for my sister as a present.
Have you rung any stores to ask?

I think they start selling the Shuffles in apple stores on the 22. I could be wrong.

the 22nd is the release day of the Mac mini, iWork 05, and iLife 05. the Apple store are slowly getting stock of 512 mb shuffles as we speak and will have supply before the 22nd. the 1 gb shuffle might well arrive AFTER the 22nd.

San Francisco Apple Store got shipping of 1GB shuffles on Thursday, and another packs today around noon. 512MB units were in stock only the keynote day. I got mine today. They were running out so fast like cupcakes.

Newport Beach claims they have th 1gb models.

The Apple store in Chandler Mall (Chandler Arizona) had 6 of the 512 versions when I was there today. I picked up two of them (one is for my daughter) and I am currently moving music onto it right now. They had previously told me that they wouldn't be getting any in until the 22nd.

heh, didn't realize that had an Apple store at Chandler mall. i've got one up here at 83rd and Bell Rd.

Thanks, I'm about to check a couple Apple Stores in the Bay Area, most likely going to pick up the 512MB version. Anyone know if the Apple Store is the only place to pick one up in-store? or is there another place to pick one up?

Apple Store Alderwood Mall (Lynnwood, WA) should be getting their stock within a few days. I already had a 512MB model on reservation, so I should be notified by phone or email when they arrive.

seems like alot of people going for the 512mb version. $50 for the 1gb, no one's biting? if i were to get one, that'd be my choice.

i'd have gotten the 1gb if it were available. but i didn't wanna wait and $99 is too cheap to pass up! Menlo Park Mall, NJ had about 15 left when I got mine today, around 5pm. only 512mb in stock.

Yes, they are selling out in stores! They're first come first serve; you're better off calling to make sure they're in stock. I was lucky enough to snatch one up at the Apple store downtown just before they ran out.

I went for the 1gb version..nearly 2 weks to wait for it to be delivered though :(

Well, I finally gave in and ordered the 1GB iPod Shuffle online at the Apple Store. Anyone know if it really does take 3-4 weeks for shipping?
