iPod Shuffle Armband question

Does the iPod shuffle armband have a protective cover like the sports band, so that your iPod won't get wet during rain, etc?

I like to run outdoors and sometimes that means the rain, so I would like the iPod to be protected. The idea of running with something hanging around my neck, like the sports case, doesn't sound too intriguing.

I'm almost positive that it does not... at least if the mini didn't, this one shouldn't. Losiento!

From what I understand now, the armband secures the device by plugging into the USB port, and that there is no cover.

I was also just thinking though, is a protective cover actually neccesary? It is a flash drive, and at least my sandisk has survived several loads in the washing machine and dryer, so couldn't the iPod shuffle be as durable? Perhaps not because of the battery and other controls... I hope someone can report on this.

Come on....in the time it took to post that question, you could have went to apple.com and seen that picture for yourself or search eBay for armbands with protective covers.

Can we save space by only posting really good questions/sites/tips and leave this nonsense somewhere else.
