is it worth it?

I realy like the ipod shuffle and i was thinking it would be good for school because i can listen to music during lunch and when i run and i could also use it as a floppy disk. school would be the main place i'd use it. i already have a 20gb click wheel ipod. should i fork out the $99 for it?

If you don't intend to bring your 20gb to school and only use it on the weekends and such then sure. I dunno about the whole floppy disk thing, but it makes for a good USB drive.
I would say yes.
I intend to get one later on after I buy my laptop.

I intend to buy one to use as a USB flash drive AND an MP3 player at work. I think it's worth it....

I was also considering the same idea, davinder. Hopefully all the schools comps will be compatible if you do get one. If I am certain that the ones at my school will be compatible, then there is a rather likely chance that I will get the shuffle...
