It charges through the USB port on the computer. Just plug it in.

or you can use the power brick that came with your regular iPod

You can't use the power brick because it has firewire and the shuffle is usb only. Pretty sure USB charging is the only way to go.

i think you're right. if people want to charge via a wall outlet then they'll need to buy the usb charger for $29.

Oh!!! Then have to spend extra money to get the usb adapter charger. Apple should have included the power charge instead.

By this time next week all those companies that currently make auto cigarette lighter chargers for mobile phones will have their iPod auto cigarette lighter chargers well on the way to production.
Apple will not be the only source of charges for very long at all.

No, you can't.

The powerbrick shipped with the iPod has only a firewire connector.

Think this through people.

The power "brick" supplied with 4G iPods has a Firewire connector.
The USB cable supplied is USB A -> Dock Connector.
How do you propose to connect the brick to the cable and the cable to the iPod Shuffle?

I think regular iPods will only charge on USB if it is USB 2.0. Does anyone know if the shuffle will charge in a USB 1.0 port?
