Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. To all,

OK....I've researched and want to go the direct connect route using the CD deck connection on the back.

I've narrowed it to NEO ION.

I looked at Denison Ice Link and Aux Pod. I like the one cable to the IPod to charge and make use of the line out. It's clean.

I have a Saturn and a Ford pickup. I'm guessing I'll need to buy 2 separate Neo Ion's......OUCH $189 apiece.

My question is: If I later on down the line get different make of car is there any part of the Neo Ion that is transferable? Or will I have to shell out another $189 to get that specific connection?

Of the 3 direct connections I mentioned is one better than the other as far as moving it to another car or are they all very specific?

Thanks,

You can get a Blaupunkt deck with a rear input for less than $140 from http://www.cruthfield.com/

You would need a new harness - should cost around 15 bucks. I am planning on getting a new car so I asked when I placed my order.

u can take the ion out of your car the whole thing, just make sure u set the jumpers on the back to your specific, new car setting befor you install it..disconnect the ion and all the wires from your old car, set the jumpers on the back (there are 8 small switches that you arrange acocording to ur car manufacturer) and hook it up in the new car. I dont know why u would need a new harness?

Give www.mp3yourcar.com a call and they will hook you up. I have ordered cables by themselves before - I think they cost like 20 bucks or something. Basically if your box is still good and your new car is compatible you will need to change some jumper settings “in instructions” and buy that new cable. I took mine out of my Ford and put it in my daily driver Honda. :D
