I have two questions I am hoping someone can help me with.

1. My wife has a 2000 GMC Jimmy that has a factory installed Bose stereo in it. I understand ther is an option for a CD changer but she doesnt have it installed. Does anyone know if there is an AUX in I can use on this stereo? I know there is a CD Changer adapter I can get to attach me iPod to the stereo, but I was hoping there is an AUX in I can easily get at without ripping the dash apart.

2. I have a Pioneer DEH-435 Stereo head and I was wondering if this unit has aux in's as well. I no longer have the manual for this unit and I couldnt find one on the Pioneer website. I was hoping to find out without ripping the dash apart on that vehicle also.

Thanks,
--Mike

Hey Mike--

Not 100% sure about question one but unless there is a line in on the faceplate of the stereo, the only other place you are going to find it is on the back which involves ripping it out!!

Question 2- The Pioneer deck you have only has RCA inputs in the back of it. You could have an RCA adaptor hardwired to the back of it and then have the deck re-installed and connect your iPod that way, or do what i did, which is buy a new deck (mine's an AIWA...used to have a Pioneer) that has the line-in on the front and just go straight into that. It sounds awesome and the deck I got only cost about $115 and had free installation!

Hey! I have a 2001 GMC Jimmy w/o the Bose Stereo. Its the same stereo just different speakers. You do have an AUX port , however its in the back of the stereo and you will need to rip the dash apart.
