since the shuffle only works with usb the charger is a usb one. now I know my mini will charge via usb. Will the shuffle charger work for my mini?

The way I read the Apple web page, the shuffle doesn't come with a charger, you plug it into a USB port to charge. The optional dock connects via a USB cable...

holy smokes, you're right. I would much rather have a $29 USB charger than a $49 FireWire charger... :rolleyes:

I noticed on the apple store site, that is says it works on iPod mini, photo, click wheel and U2.

yup, the USB power adapter works with 4G, photo and mini according to apple's website. Would it take longer to charge than the firewire one tho?

What's really BS about the whole thing is that they didn't bundle a charger in with the shuffle. Keep the other accesories for extra purchase, but last time I checked POWER was a fairly important part of the equation - and what if you don't want to carry your computer around just for charging?

THAT'S the only bad part about the shuffle!
