I had very bad luck with my 4th generation 20gig ipod. I bought it last monday, and friday I cracked the screen. I was using it skateboarding, and when I checked it the screen was cracked. I am currently getting it repaired, and am looking for a hard case for when i get it back. I need a case that would protect it not just from impact, but from body weight on it. I am not going to be using it too vigorously, but I wanted to know if the ipod armor would be the best for protecting the screen from cracks. Any suggestions?

IMO a hard drive based player wouldn't be the best choice for that type of activity. But to answer your question, I would suggest something along the lines of Matias iPod Armour. You're going to need the metal case protection that covers the entire iPod while providing some sort of shock protection. Even though I like the Showcase, it's a great all-round case, but I don't think it'll stand up to the punishment of activity involving strong impacts (like you falling on the iPod ;)).
