Should the Contour Showcase...

leave a slight opening between the front and back when closed. I bought the case that stated it worked with both 4g and ipod photo. I realize they released a new case just for iPod photo and wondered if it would fit any better. If not, its fine the way it is. I'm just curious.

I saw that case in the store (with iPod inside) and it closed completely. Perhaps the "4g and iPod photo" meant the 40GB iPod Photo. Do you have the 60GB iPod Photo? Perhaps that one is a little bit bigger and the case doesn't quite fit properly.

Sorry, I should have been more clear.

I have the 40g ipod photo. It closes shut but leaves a very tiny slit.

it doesn't matter which iPod Photo you have, they're the same dimensions, but both are thicker than a regular 40 gig. if you have the receipt you might want to think about trading that showcase in for the one specificially for the photo.

You're showcase is fitting properly. I got mine today and have the same tiny slit all the way around when I put my 20gb G4 in it.

Thanks for the replys folks. After further investigation, the tiny slit is still protected. I could see the chrome from the iPod so I thought there was a problem. However, there is still the clear hard plastic from the inside of the case covers this slit.
