Anyone use one of the FM mods that is wired into your antenna port? They have them here http://www.installer.com/aux/index.html
all the way at the bottom. It's my only option. How is the quality?

I have one and I think the quality is great. It sounds as good as my cd player (some have said this is not possible, maybe i just have a system that's not good enough to tell the difference).
I highly suggest the fm modulator. Here's the one I used: http://www.ipodincar.net/reviewKenwoodMod.php

I just bought and installed the EFM-01 Farenheit FM Modulator. Bought at Crutchfield.com for around $40. Comes with instructions and free tech support for life. Sounds great, and if you have any problems installing you can call Crutchfield and they will walk you through. Shipped next day for $5 and got it three days later (received on Tuesday, shipped on Sat). OK, I think I have read everything in here about putting an iPod in my car. I have an fm transmitter (iTrip) and that works but is subject to static and interference, also I have to reset the frequency if I drive too far from home - a pain and dangerous if I am driving.
I have a nice factory receiver and cd changer in my 2002 Diamanti which is fine but no aux in or cd changer connections. I can get a number of aftermarket receivers which have aux in but that costs $$$ and I like my factory anyway.
So that brings me to a wired fm modulator which I think is what I will do, but first I have a question.
The fm modulators I have looked at have a on/off switch. Is that for power to the device or does it switch between the device and the antenna? If it switches from the external antenna to the device then why do I need the option of selecting from up to 8 frequencies? If I am hardwired to the device (and therefore my iPod) then I should not have to change frequencies because I am in a different location, etc.
I have talked to the car audio guy at 4 big chain stores and gotten a different explanation from each one. At the risk of trying your patience, could someone tell me just how this thing works??
Thanks

I have the Magnavox one, it's pretty good, but I still notice a little bit of noise when the song is fading out.
It has 2 stations you can choose from to listen to, so when the swtich is on, the iPod will be heard on these stations; when it's off, you hear the regular station; but you won't be using the switch too much, unless you listen to those 88.9 or 89.1

So with the above mentioned RF Modulators, what are using to get the iPod signal to the RF modulator?
I currently have an inexpensive RF modulator setup with a stock Suabru stereo, being fed by the Belkin Auto Kit from a 4G. The signal quality is horrible! The signal quality sounds like AM radio! And, the level is very low.
I've tried the Belkin Auto Kit through a tape adaptor, and the sound quality is fine (to my ears), and is close to the CD quality through the stock speakers.
I've read the excellent Belkin Auto Kit non-amplified line out mod, and might try that, however, I'm mostly thinking the Ebay special RF Modulator I got is the issue and should be trashed.
I have no problem tinkering around to find a decent solution, but don't want to throw good money after bad, trying to find a mix of components that work well together.
Any thoughts regarding combination of components, and brands would be most appreciated.
Lastly, I'm not expecting CD quality from this solution. Nor am I expecting it to sound like mono AM either. ;-)
Thanks in advance.

I just have an RCA to 3.5mm cable connected to the Modulator and an iPod dock (line-out). sound quality is great for me.
