View Full Version : Alpine KCA-420i Controller Always Starts Playlists on the Second Song

I have the Alpine KCA-420i iPod Controller Interface hooked up to my Alpine 9835 head unit and 40 GB 3G iPod. It works great except that it always starts playing the playlists on the second song. I basically created a playlist for each album I have and they're listed in track order (how I want it), but for some reason, the deck starts on song two. Does anybody have a clue as to why this would be happening? Thanks so much.

Update:

I have powered the head unit off and disconnected/reconnected the iPod and it doesn't appear to be doing this anymore. I'll keep an eye on it here the next few times I go driving around and if it starts acting up again, I'll post back here. Thanks so much. :)

I found with Alpine Head Units that if something is not working right just press the reset button. It appears that you have the problem fixed, and I hope that you have as much fun with your KCA-420i as I do!

Why not? If people don't check in all the different areas (and I doubt that most do), a question could go unanswered (or not completely answered) because you're missing out on the knowledge of other board members who don't see that area. I posted in two areas. Car Gear (cause I have an Alpine iPod controller hooked up) and iPod Problems (because I have an iPod problem). This isn't spamming or posting fluff threads. It's trying to effectively and thoroughly get a question I had answered.

cross posting is annoying for those of us who actually read more han 1 forum. if it's really bugging you let it sit in one forum for a couple of days. if you get no replies then try another forum, but noticing simultaneous threads in different areas is obviously distracting.
