Well one is plastic and the other is silicone so they are two different things...

Depends on the type of protection you want.

Plastic will provide a bit more protection from bumps and drops, but silicone is not as thick, and will protect against minor bumps and scratches.

Actually, that's not true. The Agent 18 case is thinner than the iSkin. I used to own an iSkin, and just bought my brother-in-law the Agent 18 case for Christmas. I've seen both, and the Agent 18 case is thinner than the iSkin.

And . . . to answer your question, I'd go with the Agent 18. Personally, after ditching my iSkin I went with the iSee case because of the dock protection. However, the Agent 18 was a close second. I ended up getting that one for my brother-in-law (see above) just because the iSee was out of stock everywhere. It's a great case.

Two reasons:

(1) I decided I wanted a clear plastic case so that I could actually see the iPod. I like the white and silver body of the iPod, and didn't want it completely covered in a blue skin.

(2) The silicone skins tend to attact lint pretty easily. I found myself constantly reaching for some scotch tape so that I could remove the lint from the iSkin.

The iSkins will protect your iPod well and the screen protection works great, it just wasn't the case for me.

Well I was thinking about getting the iSkin over the Agent18 myself because of the grip. I don't know how slick the Agent18 is but I don't want to drop it.

And if and when I drop it in the Agent18, wouldn't the plastic damage the iPod in itself?

ok thanks alot guys that really helped i ended up getting the agent18 jut got it a while ago (30 min) it fits perfect and i love the protection and the way the show it off
