I am trying to mount my ipod in my jeep. I have a couple of issues, I want something that i dont have to look down from the dashboard for, perhaps something that can mount next to the radio, so the belkin cupholder mount is out. I would also like to use something adhesive, vs. something that requires drilling and screws. Also, i have an iskin that i would prefer to not have to remove.

Any suggestions?

I was this close to getting it for my own car install, but I had professionals install the iPod in the center console in my '04 Honda Civic. You have to buy 2 parts to it - the part that attaches to your vent and the part that holds the iPod, so it's pretty pricey, but it may do the trick for you.

How are you hooking you iPod to your car stereo?

If you want to go the adhesive route, the Monster iSportcase (http://www.ipodlounge.com/gearguide_specs_more.php?id=P3499_0_5_0_C) works great. I have it in my car. Fortunately, this was designed for the 3G ipod, which was a little slimmer. For this reason, you can actually put a rubber skin around your ipod and then put it in the iSportcase, giving it an extra level of protection. Be adviced that putting a skin on it is a *very* tight squeeze, but it is possible. It works great for me...both when I'm working out and on the road :)

ipodlounge gave it a bad review, but I think it's because Monster advertises it as a "sport case", which it doesn't work very well for without putting a skin on it. It's probably one of the best "cheap" car mounting solutions out there.
