I have just noticed that i can now feel an edge where the metal back meets the plastic front on the side of the ipod.
I havent dropped the ipod but it feels like the metal has been pushed causing the edge to pop out. Can you feel the edge on a brand new, out of the box ipod or has my ipod somehow been compressed in my pocket?
Thanks
Alex

I can barely feel the edge of mine.. how noticable is it? Maybe you're just looking at it to hard. I tend to do that to, don't want anything to happen to my iPod.
*jumps up & down*
I can feel it too. Didn't know if it was a build flaw or just normal.

I had this while I was travelling - and almost had kittens.
Not only could I feel the join, I could see the difference between the two parts.
After playing about with it for a hour - worrying on what may happen, I gave it big old squeze on the metal part of the edge and it clicked back into place, and the join could no longer be felt.
Remember that the two parts do come apart - you have to do this to replace the battery - but it doesn't have to be a problem.
Hope you all get it sorted - I've been there.
