I am wanting a case that will hold not only my 3G iPod but also the Firewire/USB cable, power adapter, and iTrip. Right now I just carry everything in a Wal-Mart sack back and forth to work. I know, HIGH-TECH!!

Anyway, I think I've narrowed my choices to two different cases and I'd like some opinions on which you feel is the best. I would also like to hear any other suggestions in you have any. As long as they are a all-in-one bag like these are.

#1) Waterfield iPod Gear Pouch - http://www.sfbags.com/products/ipodpouch/ipodgearpouch.htm

#2) Case Logic MP3 Travel Accessory Kit - http://www.casedirect.com/product_detail.asp?UID=2005010810493184&T1=CAS+MPC5&menu=00

I would also like to know where I can buy either of these bags. I think the Waterfield is available only through the company, but I know Case Logic is almost everywhere.

I appreciate your input on this. Have a great day!!!

Just my 1 1/2 cents - I like the look of the Waterfield case the best. I plan on getting the iPod inMotion case from them along with the Vertigo bag.

I have both of these bags and prefer the Waterfield, although after receiving it, it's a little too big for my liking...but it does offer great protection for the iPod and all the accessories.

Thanks. I like the Waterfield case the best as well. Hopefully someone who owns one or the other of those cases will post with their hands-on experience.

Thanks again.

Thanks Parrothead Phan. That's very helpful.

May I ask where you bought the Case Logic case? I would like to physically hold it and see what it's like before I make a final decision.

Thanks again!

IIRC, I bought my Case Logic bag from the site you posted (the Case Logic web site). That one is a good case too, but what I didn't like about is the way the case is laid out - mesh pockets on both sides, which kinda bulks the case up if you have a lot of accessories...

Of the two choices you have listed, I prefer the Waterfield case. It's not even a close call in my opinion.

However, that having been said, have you considered the Incase Travel Kit? It's more expensive than the other choices, but that's because it comes with a dual charger. The dual charger looks like a standard car charger, but it has a little piece that pops out and allows you to plug it into a wall outlet. That way, you can charge in the car, at home or in the office with only one charger. The case also has spots for your cables, your earbuds and other things. It's a great case. I love it. You can find it on Apple's website by doing a search for "iPod travel kit."

This reminds me a lot of the Monster iCase http://www.monstercable.com/productPage.asp?pin=2220

This was my original choice but when I went to CompUSA to look at it, I was still undecided about it. It's a nice case, however, a few things turned me off of it. One thing is that the iPod screen is exposed. This leaves the possibility of further scratches. Plus, it looked like it could get kind of bulky once everything is in it, especially the power adapter. Then, the price is another factor. $70 is a real commentment.

Thank you for your input. Very valuable.

re the question about where to find the case logic one for holding/feeling purposes... i've seen it at target.

but i didn't hold it so i can't really speak to the comparison.

Target huh? Only about a million around me!! I live in the Dallas area.

Were they in the electronics department or somewhere else?

Thanks!

Sadly, I visited 3 Targets and none had one. In fact, the closest to an iPod case I found was a Case Logic case for just the iPod at a local Best Buy.

I think I'm going to buy the Waterfield iPod Gear Pouch. Thank you everyone for your input. It was very helpful and appreciated.

Was there something particular about the Case Logic case that you didn't like or did you simply like the Gear Pouch better?
