Hello all,
I have been a iPod owner for about 2 Months now, & recently I have been getting a problem when I try to disconnect my iPod 3G from Itunes. Basically, when I click the eject button it comes up with a notice saying: "iPod cannot eject, it is being used by another application" Something along the lines of that. I dont know if it has anything to do with the music files but i close down Itunes & Limewire & other software with music players and it still comes up with the same problem. Can anyone help please?
Thanks in Advance.

Welcome to the lounge. You can go to my computer and right click on the iPod and select 'eject' and see if it will disconnect + use the safely remove hardware at the lower right of the screen.

As a last resort, if it continues you can do a restore and reinstall of the iPod and its disk.

You can press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to open the ( I think its called manager or something) but it will show any other programs that are open while the iPod is connected and maybe you will see what program is accessing the iPod drive.

Also, if you have any Real software on your PC, uninstall it.

Hi,

I am having this same problem, and I am a little confused. My computer know-how is lacking, but usually I can keep up.

I have tried to eject from iTunes, from my Computer, and from the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the task bar, all of them say that they can't. My next step would then be to do a restore and reinstall of the iPod and its disk .

The problem is, I don't know what that means, or what will happen. Can someone please help me out ? I would really appreciate it!
