I am planning a black showcase today as I know the white one gets dirty, but I have read that the exterior is actually more like the iskin, not plastic. Is this true?
Because I had an iskin, and when the ipod was in the iskin, I could never get it out of my pocket!
Does the same apply with the showcase?

The exterior of the Showcase is made up of 2 materials. The black/white border is made of hard rubber and the front and back have clear plastic screens to show the ipod's beauty. I haven't had any problems taking it out or putting it in my pocket though. If you are really that concerned you can either return it if you dont like it or just buy the i-See by Contour.

its just that my old iskin case used to get stuck in my pocket, and i really hated it, because it got stuck to the lining of my pocket, and it collected lint, really ####...
So the contour doesnt get stuck in your pocket?
do they still sell the contour showcase for 3G iPods?

iPulse- No, they don't get stuck in your pocket unless you have unusually small pockets or something sticky in them. They do not attract lint and such like iSkins either.
bov- I don't believe they are being sold in stores anymore, but I'm sure they are still being sold in an online store.

I see pictures of the 3g instead of the 4g all the time, so i am sure they still sell them.
So should I buy a black one over a white one, because I hear they stain and get dirty extremely fast

i bought my countour a couple of weeks ago from www.everythingipod.co.uk for the 3G ipod, i got the white one, yes it does get dirty quite easily... but black on white? does that really look good? anyways, i kinda regret getting it cos its so bulky, i would recommend the agent18 or however its called, looks cooller

I got it, and black looks awesome on white, anyway, it is a tiny bulky but it is great, not one part of my ipod can get hurt.....no not even the clickwheel, because i kept the clickwheel protector on when i bought the ipod.

I have the black and it's freakin awesome looking....really don't think it's that bulky though, even if it was, I value the protection over such a thing.

I got my contour, I highly suggest that if you need an highly strong case, that displays the beauty of your iPod. Purchase it.

Obviously. right back at you.
Cattyness aside. What I meant was are there any other differences aside from size.

Of coarse white's an option. With white you can dye it all sorts of colors. The soft part of it absorbs the dye very easy and you can give it your own personal touch.

What kind of dye are you using to do this? Very very interesting!

I chose the white one only because it was the only one available. I like the white because it matches seemlessly with the white IPOD. I've had it for over a week and it hasn't gotten dirty yet. The only things that go dirty are the two "feet" on the bottom that are used to hold it onto flat surfaces and even then I can rub off the dirt with my finger. I would rather have black but my IPOD is not black so I guess white will do.
