I don't have a Firewire port on my PC...help needed

I don't have a Firewire port on my new PC, only loads of USB ports. With my iPod (which I did use with an iMac) the only cable i got with it was a Firewire one. Therefore I obviously need to purchase a USB iPod dock connector, but upon searching the interenet all i found was this dual one.

Does the fact that I can only use one of the plugs mean it will still work? (as I won't be able to plug in the Firewire cable). Thanks in advance---I'm new to Windows you see!

Is it possible for you to buy a pci firewire card? I'm sure you have a slot on your computer to install this.

Well what I would recommend, it check ebay, since a usb2.0 cable is going for $ 1.69 USD.

I run 2000 Pro and I didn't have firewire either. Go on ebay and buy a card for $5 and just plug it in to one of your PCI ports. Easy installation and there's no software needed to be installed. Way faster than usb 2.0
