Just connect a line out on a cassete deck to a computers line in, and then use wav recorder to record the songs

I had to do this for my dad as well:) All you need is a cassete deck with a headphone out (or speaker out) port. You need a standard balanced 1/8" audio cable. You can pick this up at any radio shack or electronics store. Plug the cable into the cassette deck and then into the Line-In on your sound card. Then all you need to do is find a simple audio recording program. You should be able to find a bunch at download.com (http://download.com.com/3120-20-0.html?qt=record&tg=dl-2001). Hopefully that helps.

iRiver iFP-300s/iHP-100 or any mp3 player with line-in recording.
