Fed-Ex blows

yea i order'd an ipod from apple.com on the 28th of december and it was supposed to be deliverd the 4th of jauary and it is now the 5th of january and still no ipod... my friend orderd his ipod the 29th and he already has his ipod and we live in the same area.. im really begining to get worried..i called fed-ex and they said they would track my shipment to where it was but that would take 24hours.. i have to wait for the phonecall tommarow from them i hope they didnt lose my precious ipod.. if they lose it i wounder if i can do anything about it? has any of yall fAced the same problem?????

everyone runs into this problem with different companies. if you have a tracking number (which i hope you do), get online and see where its last location was.

oh geez.. i wish people would use their brain before posting something like this. APPLE ships by FedEx, just go to your Order Status page on apple.com and it'll give you the tracking number and take you right there, genius.

yea i do have the tracking number but it hasnt updated since the 29th it used to say that the estimated shiping date was gonna be the 4th and now its just blank

I will tell you how much FedEx doesn't blow and how lucky we are the Apple is WISE enough to use FedEx.

I've ordered tons of stuff from Think Geek.com. Out of roughly 8 orders in the last year 6 boxes have come from UPS smashed, opened, dripping wet, opened and contents messed up, holes in the box, writing...etc. FedEx, nothing. I get my shipments sometimes not in the 4 days I should, maybe five. But I get them. Nothing is ever wrong.

I've been to the UPS warehouse after hours to pick things up and I've seen what happens. Ever see that commerical with the UPS CEO stating that UPS is always on time and he says, "I don't know how they do it and I do not worry about that, they just do and that's Brown for you!" Yeah let me tell you...
UPS only gets there on time because their fawkup drivers don't take the time to make sure you get yoru package without damages, they just make sure they can drop kick it to your porch.

I sent NEC a monitor for warranty work. They sent it back 2 days later. I got it and there was a hole the size of a foot in the side of the box. The monitor was damaged badly. NEC had to absorb the cost of giving me a 21" instead of a 19" because the 19" I had was 2 years old and was no longer being stocked.

Anyway that is my rant. I like FedEx, I only ship FedEx for my ebay items....get your tracking number and find out what's up.

there are plenty of people with FedEx horror stories too, I've shipped with UPS many many times, and never once has a package been damaged... althought UPS isn't called United Parcel Smashers for nothing....

UPS Blows. FedEX Rocks. UPS has lost over $25000 worth of product, laptops, DVD Players, Microwave ovens, etc. at our HQ.

THe response to UPS doing that is FedEX taking the effort to stand by a plane that just landed, search for two key packages of ours, so we could make the customer's deadline.

oh, dear. you have too much worry about it. your precious will be arrived soon. Fedex won't lose yours because ipod is one of fragile item. you know, if the box says 'fragile', fedex carry it more carefully.

I think that holiday season delivery makes the delay little bit. so you need more patient.

so far my best experiences has been w/ dhl......ups i havent had a problem w/ either......fedex once delievered my $400 dollar basketball tickets to someone elses house!! plus ive always thought their tracking on their site has been weak......and usps tracking is just the worst

Fragile doesn't mean a thing to most workers in the shipping industry. I myself have seen plenty of packages marked fragile thrown around so just because it is marked fragile doesn't mean that it is going to be handled carefully.

haha yea but fed ex called me back today and said that my package had just left sacramento.... so ill prolly have it by tuesday hopefully but i cant belive it has been in sacramento since the 29th thats horrible!!!!

i'd be making a phone call to Apple. not only are you the customer, but Apple is Fed-Ex's customer. get on the phone.

well i called and fed0ex told me it was lost... i was soo mad! then i called apple and they said they were gonna call fed-ex to verify it then send one to me.. but on the site it shows they have no more 3g 15gb maybe they will send me a 4g 20gb.. well i hope so ive been waiting since christmas

yea thats what i was hoping for a 4g but i checked my email today and they had sent me a replacement overnight hopefully ill get it tommarow..!!!!! but on the email it said a 15gb (3g) yea its about time since the 29th.. 16 days for a 5 day delivery

i got them to send me a case and a dock but today i finally recieved it and IT WAS BROKE it would freeze and restart b4 even playing a song now i have to send it in and get a new one but i get to keep the dock and case $50 value(i think $20 case $30 dock) im the unluckiest person in the world

...every item i have had from fedex has been misdelivered...
ups took a couple of calls, and now they know my house and get it right
i dont have problems with the post office, but then i work there

all this is getting me paranoid and worried because i won an auction on ebay for an ipod (finally getting one yay!) and the seller sent it through fedex :(

i just hope it arrives monday like the confirmation page at fedex is saying

i restored it like 3 times and reset it like 20 times then i called apple and i was talking to them for like an hour and they couldnt help me with anything so they just told me to send it in

i can now say i am a proud owner of a 3rd generation 15 GB ipod
