Short or Long Cord for 888's

I want to order the Sony MDR-E888 LP or SP. I have never used the remote with either my 20GB or my 15GB because of the length. These buds are $55, so I don't want to be sorry if I get the short and find the remote is clunky or doesn't work well.

Advice?

Get the short version.
Besides, if you dont need to use the remote, the SP version also comes with an extension cord that's 1m long.

The only major difference between SP and LP is that the short cord version doesnt come with that nifty earbud case.

Aahh, thanks Kenny makes sense. I didn't realize the SL came with an extention cord. Makes my choice pretty much a no-brainer with nothing to lose if I don't like the remote.
