I have an audiobook in mp3 format. I converted to AAC Stereo with Itunes (for windows) I then reneamed the m4a files to m4b but they will not show up under "Audiobooks" ???
Anyone?

Edit: I just removed genre entirely from an m4b file and it still shows up in main menu Audiobooks list, so the key is probably file extension. Look at discussion in other thread and make certain that you put the m4b files on your ipod, not the original files.
I prefer placing Playlist Category on main menu thru settings and creating a smart playlist that includes playcount = 0 so that the selections/parts of books I have listened to drop off the playlist. If shuffle song is off, then playlist will then proceed to the next part of the book. The 4G main menu shuffle seems to skip audiobooks based on file extension. Now that the season is over I think I am going to remove Christmas music from my iPod now so that I can use the main menu shuffle and turn song shuffle back off.
