I have a griffin iTrip that I use with my 40gig and all of a sudden last week the iTrip stopped working. Usually you can switch the frequency by going into the playlist, selecting a frequency, waiting for the light on the itrip to flash, and then hit pause on the ipod....
but now when i select the frequency, the light never flashes...i have no idea whats going on. It was working fine for so long and now I cant seem to get it to work. I've tried turning the ipod off and on tons of times, resetting it, nothing seems to work. What am i doing wrong here?? Thanks for any help, I need it.

Did you play "LED Off"?

I also think you have to have the volume at 60-80% for it to work.

Well the volume is not the issue here, but what do you mean by led off? The light is on for the itrip, its just not flashing like it should when i'm tryin to switch frequencies...

He thought that you played the song "LED OFF" which turns off the red LED on the iTrip, LED ON does the reverse.

Contact Griffin.

Mine used to do this. If you reset the iPod, which I believe is the select button and the play button at the same time for 10 seconds, it generally fixes the problem.

Also, make sure your battery is charged at least 50%. Sometimes that can cause problems.

Too bad the iTrip barely works near me...its a cool piece of technology.

If only I could get the jammed tape out of my car stereo I would use a tape adapter...

edit: sorry, didn't originally see that you tried to reset the iPod. Oh well, just tell you what worked for me.
