I could be wrong but I believe the bootlegs are on the site as well because they no longer want the "bootlegers" to profit from it...so they posted it to the site. Again, I could be wrong but other bands have done this in the past.

This is great, thanks. Operation Ivy did the same thing. On their fan site (operationivy.com or operation-ivy.com, I forget) you can download each of 10 or 11 bootleg albums + singles by the group. Every CD other than their only non-bootleg album.

My guess would be that the one's that aren't bootlegs were recorded thru the main board, and probably have better quality. The bootlegs are just from someone recording them, and then giving it to the band or whatever.
