iPod for Christmas!! Also, question about cases

lol I told my parents I wanted an iPod for Christmas in October and didn't hear another word about it until 3 weeks ago...and she flat-out told me that I wasgetting one...She's horrible at keeping secrets and surprises, so now I'm not surprised, but I'm dying to get it...but I have to wait until Christmas Eve b/c my grandparents are technically giving it to me. :D

I'll probably buy my case myself, but I'd like it soon so I don't kill my iPod (I'm kinda clumsy at times). I am not a huge leather fan, so I don't really want one of those cases.
I kinda had my eye on the iSkins...are those any good? They appeal to me greatly but I'd like to know if they are worth it before buying. :) I like how they come with that screen protector, that will come in handy! Love the colors, too (I'm thinking Arctic or Blush...maybe Ghost)

Anyway, if you guys have suggestions or advice on cases, please share because I'd love to get one soon, so I'll have it to protect my KitiPod! (When I get it) :D Thanks much, guys!

Congratulations about your iPod...the wait is killing isn't it? Same here with me and my soontobe cell.

Anyway, I personally don't like the iSkins and am a big fan of Tunewear's Icewear. Just don't be ripped off like me. I paid an extra US$10 for it :(

Yes, the waiting is about to kill me. The only relief I have is getting on here but even then I think about it constantly. (duh, how can I not? :D) But I figure I'm really lucky to even be getting one, so I can (have to, more like it) wait...:P lol

The scumbags at the Applecorner in Kunming City, China ripped me off (don't call me racist, I'm Chinese too! ;)). But whatever it is, the Tunewear Icewear is the most lovely skin around IMO.

Go to the gear guide here at ipodlounge. They have a very good report on all the popular skins. After researching, I bought the exo2 from www.coolera.com. I was happy with it. It covers the scrollwheel and comes with a screen protector. They also shipped very fast.

iSkin exo2 accomodates the iTrip, also. Many skins and cases do not. Also has a flap for the computer/charger connection port on iPod. I have had two iSkins and liked them both, dragged my iPod off the kitchen counter while it was out of the skin and busted the HD.

dude DON'T get an iSkin if you keep it in ur pocket cuz it will collect lint and it's a pain in the ### to deal with it and just makes the iSkin look ugly. Get a hard case like Contour Showcase and they sell these at local apple stores or you can order em here. www.contourdesign.com or you can get an iSee...I heard they send em with plastic sleeves now or somethin...but in my opinion I wouldn't get a silicone case.
