dock connector with iskin exo

Hi guys

It's been mentioned somewhere in these forums that the ipod wont fit perfectly in the iskin exo with the protective cover for the dock connector in place. Since the exo doesn't cover up the dock connector, does this mean that you are leaving it exposed in the iskin? I'm tryin to decide between the speck skin and the exo and it seems that only the speck skin actually protects the dock connector.

Is that something we will have to buy in addition to the exo or a feature of a newer generation of exo's?

I have a piece of plastic that came with my iPod that covers the dock conector. I find my iPod fits perfectly in the iSKin exo, since the case is pretty thick I don't forsee something getting in there and hurting the conector especially with that piece of plastic in place.

The protective cover for the dock connector onmy 30gb works fine with the iSkin exo. No problems here.
