Is a case REALLY that necessary?

Hi,

I just ordered a 40 gig Ipod Photo, and I'm flipping through all of the different reviews of cases. One thing I'm wondering, though, is how necessary a case really is.

I mean, do you need a case? Isn't the case that comes with the Ipod good enough? Does the Ipod scratch so easily that it needs to be covered all the time?

So, instead of asking what case to buy, I'm asking if I should really buy a case at all.

The iPod doesn't come with a case, as far as I know. The back is easily scratched. It will get scratched from change in your pocket. I go nowhere with my iPod not in its case.

In my opinion a case, is a must have accesory if you have an iPod.

well if you want your iPod to look nice. They scratch so very easy it's not even funny. I went 1 day without a case and I got a big scratch on the screen, don't even know how it got there. I was so careful with it. So yes if you want your iPod to stay nice by all means buy a case immediatly
