Well i just bought a Agent18 case from the Apple store let me just say this: this is a GREAT case! This case offers good protection as it covers most of the iPod except the top and bottom and the click wheel. the case is made from this "privacy glass" plastic that is smooth and kind of blurr out the body of the iPod but this is a good thing because, this kind of plastic is finger print-proof and scratch resistant. Clear cases such as the iSee and the Crystal jacket have a problem with finger prints and scratches. The plastic that covers the screen is clear though i can see that it is already getting scratched. On the rear, is a small rectangular clear plastic that shows off the Apple symbol and "iPod" word. The case is very solid and simple to snap off. So far the only problems i have with this case is that the top and bottom of the iPod is left unprotected but this might be a good thing to people using iTrips and thing like that. Another this is that the click wheel isnt protected and the space they leave open for it is alittle too big as you can see bits of the white body exposed. The final problem of the case is that, it isnt fully snapped together, on the edges where you join the front and back of the case together, you can see that its fully connected, but those "cracks" make it easier to remove the case. But these problems are very minor.

As you can see from the pics, the case is thin and adds little bulk to the iPod.

i was gonna buy a iSkin but one of the apple store staff wouldnt reccomend it saying "it feels like a sweaty rubber a$* in your hands" and "it gets dis-colored over time" I have no idea if this true or not but this is the reason why i jumped to the Agent18. Also the Agent18 is only $25, $5 cheaper than the iSkin.

If you have any questions, i will be glad to answer them.

edit: when ever i read reviews for cases, i always complain about the lack of pics showing off the case (or the lack of good looking ones), So I took 4 more pics of the case in the dark with the iPod's backlight on, to further aid your desision.

At night, the back light illuminates the area making a very cool effect. The pics doesnt do its justice.

Looks good! I was stuck between the Crystal Jacket and this case, but I think you've made me decide to go with the Agent18. Now I just have to see if they stock it at my local Apple store.

today, I stopped by new Apple mini store in St. Louis, MO. first of all, I just tried to look at how this shop is beautiful. then, I found 'Agent18' case for my 4G ipod 20Gb. I grabbed it. it's awesome than I thought. and it's awesome to see new Apple retail store in my town today. I'm still in the shopping mall. just hang out. but I can't wait for making it wearing at home. just first time, I was supposed to buy contour iSee-20GB. but after reading some scratch problem inside, I changed my mind to buy agent18 stuff.

I love my iSkin Ghost. It doesn't feel like a rubber a**, it just has nice grip so it doesn't get dropped or fall off the counter. It comes with a clear screen protector, and I ordered an iPoDonut to cover the wheel, so everything is protected. t hasn't gotten dirty yet, but if it does, should wipe off with a damp cloth. It is a nice white iPod appropriate color but glows a pale blue in the dark. The iPoDonut glows a soft green. I really like the glow because I like to listen to it in bed and it is always visible in a darkened room -- besides looking very Cool.

You pays your money and you takes your choices. There is something for everybody.

Nice.

If I hadn't gotten the iSee I would have definitely gone for this.

Funny stuff man, I have an iskin and i dont like it, it attracts lint, smudges ipod surface, holes in back let crap in and scratch ipod, all in all not worth the money, but im getting an agent18 for xmas, cool stuff.

Lol, i'm liking the hole in the back of the case that lets you show off the apple logo, and the iPod bit. Looks like a pretty cool case, do they do a version for 3G iPods?

It pretty hard to measure the thickness of the case itself becasuse of the curves at the end, but together with the iPod it is about 1.8cm. Look at this pic: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/aznzion/3.jpg

The outer surface of the pastic on the iSee and Crystal Jacket is simalar to the surface plastic of the iPod. My friend has an iSee and i can see that it is already scratched and scuffed pretty badly (he leaves it in his backpack full of pens, cell phone, and etc).

Nope, they only have cases for the 4G iPod and mini

Anyone have this case with a U2 iPod? Im wondering how the plastic looks with the black iPod. I have the iSee.. its clear and it takes away from a lot of the iPod's color. I will be picking this case up this weekend at the mall and posting a comparison review.

i just braved a DC-area mall on the sunday before xmas to get a hardcase for my ipod. i called first to check...

me: do you have the contour design showcase?
"genius": yes
me: and do you have the agent18 case?
"genius": the what?
me: the agent18 click shield?
"genius": the what?
me: the click shield from agent18?
"genius": what?
me: it's hard plastic case made by agent18
"genius": i've never heard of that.

it only got worse when i actually made it to the apple store! but they did have the agent18 (regardless of what the person on the phone and two of the geniuses in the store may have told me) ao i ended up getting it and not the showcase.

great case! i love it! it feels so protected but i love that it's still so visible through the plastic, and so slim.

highly recommended.

i went to the apple store at montgomery mall... exit 1 off I-270 i think it was. plenty of click shields and showcases also.

i was originally going to go to the bethesda row store too but from the apple site it sounded like it wasn't a full store?

oh ok, thanks! yeah the bethesda row store is one of apple's new "mini" stores, they carry mostly ipods and accessories (but obviously not a huge assortment)

Is this case dock-friendly? Or, does the iPod have to be removed to fit the dock? TIA!

I'm in the DC area as well (NoVA)...did you go to Tyson's or Clarendon to get the case? Did that store carry the Contour Showcase?

doh! just saw your reply to another poster w/this same question...I didn't realize they had an Apple store at Montgomery Mall...I guess I learned something today!

The store at Tyson's Corner has an AWFUL selection when it comes to accessories...In fact, the only case I've seen I saw was standard issue Apple case...no 3rd parties accessories at that store, as far as I could tell...
