They got a rave review here, but my personal experience and the experience of the only other person I know who has one of these is that they:

1. Sound VERY tinny
2. Are much too quiet at 75% volume (recommended in the review) in even the quietest room at close range (1 foot or less).

So either we both got defective Podwaves or iPodLounge got a ringer to review. At any rate, buyer beware.

Does anyone have a positive perspective on their Podwave? Did we just get unlucky?

hi

you asked for a positive review of PODWAVE by MACALLY.

i see the forum is not awash with responses. i've just received
mine, and they are about what i expected for the money they cost.

on the positive side the actual speaker quality is astonishingly good for a
gadget so small. however they simply do not and could not for that amount of money
possess the technology to power the volume to any degree of proper listening level.

they are what i would class as a 'gimmick' to catch ipod suckers (myself included of course) i tend to agree with the original post that the lounge reveiwer was way overboard, but as i said i kind of expected that anyway.

they would be good for a situation where you had lost your earphones, or left them in another room having just jumped in to bed to listen to your ipod but could not be bothered to get up again and go and get them.

i say well done macally i like gadgets, maybe bose will come along later and make ultra seriously expensive ones that will blow the bedroom roof off

kind regards
