this is my 20gb in the black showcase... if the click wheel looks weird it's because i've left on the plastic film that came on the wheel. the back view pic has a lot of reflection but you can kind of get an idea of how much space there is in the back b/c of the foam piece.

that said, i think i prefer it resting on the foam piece than on the little bumpers inside the back of the case that it would be resting on if it were a 40gb. foam seems gentler.

one tip: when putting the ipod in the showcase, it seems to work better to put it face down in the front of the case and close the back down on it, instead of setting it in the back of the case and closing the front down on it. it's hard to explain why... when the case is closed, the ipod is more to the front of it so if you close it in from the back, the sides of the ipod are exposed to less friction from being closed on... if that makes ANY sense at all! the first time i put my ipod in the case i closed it from the front and got a tiny, tiny scuff on the right side.
