replacement front panel?

i always have my ipod in a case, but really wanted to send it off to colorwarepc to have it painted carbon. then i started thinking, why aren't there any replacement front panels from apple or some other company? i'm sure people's white front and screen get real beat up and they'd like them replaced. what'd be even better is then i could just buy a black U2 front and not have to worry about paint chipping. it might look weird with the grey click wheel, but i still think it'd be pretty cool.
are there places that sell the fronts that i dont know about?

The problem with replacing the front panel is that it would require the user to open up the ipod physically transfer it's guts from one front case to another. It's certainly not an operation Apple would want it's user to undertake on the iPod.
