USB Problem

Tried connecting my ipod to on pc one mac and both charged it but wouldnt sync, the computers didnt recognise it nothing??? It worked with firewire so its not the Ipod?
anyone any ideas

hmmm I think it's because your iPod is formatted for a PC version and not Mac.

wouldnt work on PC either?? it had been tho on a i mac
