Do you think wool or felt would scratch an ipod?

Hi everyone! Someone I know is getting an iPod for Christmas. I would love to make a unique, colorful case for him using handmade felt. It's not as smooth as store-bought craft felt. Think more like a felt hat, with loose fibers here and there. I've been searching for information on what does and does not scratch these little devices. If I had one myself, I'd just test it. It doesn't scratch my white iBook G4, but I know with the iPod the screen is the part to worry about, right?

Any experience or insight you can offer would be a huge help! Have you ever had your iPod scratched by a wool scarf or sweater? Or do any of you have iPod cases that are lined with felt? Thank you so much!

You will be fine. Cases are made out of a lot harder things than that, and its ok. I would go for it, and good luck with making your case!
