computer crashed

My computer recently crashed. So I bought a new Sony. I have always run XP with my Ipod. The problem now is that I can not change my library or save new music to the ipod. I had all my music files on the old computer before it crashed and now I want to put them on my new computer and be able to change and maneuver my play list. Any suggestions?

yes, all my music is still on my ipod. sorry i wasn't clear about that.
