it's a device that transmits your iPod's music so it's playable on a standard FM radio. It will not allow you to play radio on your iPod (there's no such device to do that yet)

fm radio is what determines what mp3 player i buy :(.. i want a ipod but it doesnt have radio.. i listen to radio alot
