i'll try to be as descriptive as i can, so here i go.
I brought my iPod like a month ago, (it's the latest model, 20gig) and i installed it on my comp fine, (i have windows ME) it registered as a removable drive and things were fine and dandy with my ephpod/macdrive. then, a virus came and i had to reformat my entire computer.

here's where the trouble begins.

i re-installed everything on my comp like b4, and when i plugged in my iPod, windows just recognized it as a "mass storage device" with the drivers NTKERN.vxd missing. So i go on www.windows.com and i update my comp, disconnect my ipod, reinstall Xplay and connect everything back. Nothing.
my screen doesnt even change.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

What disk do you have that came with your computer? Does one of them say "drivers" on it? Go to my computer>right click on manage>and check disk management and see if you have anything with yellow ? or ! next to it. Do it while the iPod is connected.

Also, you can google to see what those drivers you listed are for.

I installed the drivers that came with my comp but still nothing...
when i look into the hardware profile it says:
(?) USB mass storage device.
it says it cannot locate the drivers... arrgh please help! this is really frustrating :(

[EDIT: i fixed the NTKERN.vxd driver probs but now my comp only sees my iPod as a "mass storage device"...i want it seen as a removable drive again :(
