How do I transfer an audiobook onto my ipod?!

Hey, this has been a pain for a while now, i can't figure it out -

How do i transfer a mp3 audiobook onto my ipod and make it appear in the audiobook 'folder' on my ipods menu?

Welcome to the lounge.
-Did you check the User Manual that came with your iPod?
-Is the genre set to audiobook or spoken word? Make sure that it is.
-Have you converted the book to aac? If setting the genre to audiobook does not help then convert to aac.
