couple of questions...
i am a music fanatic... i dj so i am always around music... i am going to ask for a ipod for christmas... i like to listen to the radio... and have also considered to by a creative mp3 20 gb because it has fm radio .... can i get an applicaiton to play fm radio or and accessery or can the ipod not play the radio... the fm radio has a pretty high priority of which mp3 player i buy.. i know i can just go and buy a radio player but i want to just use the ipod..

also i have heard you talking about 4th gen.. 3rd gen ipods.. whats that mean.. is that like upgrades... 4th is the last upgrade?

lastly... which ipod do u think i should buy.. the 4 gb... or the 20... i will be using it alot.. which is worth the money...

does anyone know any cheap places to buy them in ontario? thanks

hello.. i guess your new. welcome! ok now lets get down to stuff. so the 4generation and 3 generation and stuff isn't upgrades but just models. like the 1g came first then 2g then 3g and finally 4g. 4generation is the lastest one they have released. here's a guide on the models if you have any questions.. http://www.ipodlounge.com/faqs_more.php?id=1362_0_10_0_C as far as the fm radio goes. i don't think there's like an adapter for an radio fuction the the ipod..

why don't you search for the internet? one of stores is Amazon, or what about pricegrabber.com? go with online purchase! otherwise, you won't find any cheaper price tag in retail store. it's true. I recommand that you should buy 4G ipod 40GB because you're DJ that need big storage to save bunch of music. with 40GB, you can save up to 10,000 songs. with 20GB, it will be up to 5,000. if you like more storage, you can go with ipod photo 60GB (up to 20,000 songs, but it's pricy). finally, I know that DJs like some style with music. what about U2 special edition ipod? it's 20GB though. it has different color. you will like it if you see.

Storage capacity is just one determinant of how many songs you can hold on your iPod (or other DAP). The bitrate at which you rip your music is the other primary factor. If you rip music at a bitrate of 128, then you'll be able to store twice as much music as someone who rips music at a bitrate of 256. The tradeoff here would be sound quality - depending on the acuteness of your hearing, the higher bitrate files may sound similar to the lower bitrate files, or they may sound anywhere from slightly to significantly better. You may want to start by downloading iTunes and playing with ripping some of your CDs at varying bitrates and testing what sounds good to you.
