good way to keep it different. i think the half click wheel was a nice touch to add it make it "iDifferent (lol)" from the previous ipods. always nice to add a new idea...

the select fits into the menu space? not sure about that one yet, but the bottom was flat for easy docking. however, the docking is probably not a feature given that it is flash memory.

i think half a scroll wheel kind of defeats the purpose of the original scroll wheel, so that your finger could continuously scroll without having to lift it up. but i think it's a great idea if apple wants to keep their signature scroll wheel on the flash ipod and still keep a small form factor.

Good concept
The half scroll wheel thing doesn't seem particularly wise on a sport iPod. If you're doing sports, you want to be able to very very easily change songs - lifting and all that doesn't seem like it'd work for say, a runner. <_>
