Earbuds sound bad?

I was wondering if the earbuds that come with the ipod are actually as bad as some people make them sound? What # would u give it on a 1-10 chart? 10 beeing awesome and 1 beeing s*it

it's not THAT bad...i actually think it's pretty good among the cheap earbuds out there. But if you compare it to other expensive isolation audiophile earbuds, obviously it isn't that good.

I'd probably give them a 3. They're pretty crappy, but I'm used to better sounding earphones. I think they're on par with most of the other cheap pack-in earphones that come with music players these days.

When I first got my ipod I opened them up to try them but put it up on ebay right after that. To me the hi & mids were good enough but the bass sucks. I would just sell it and use the money for different ones.

The stock earbuds suck. They started making this clicking noises with the bass, so I just killed mine.

I don't really have anything to compare them too (though I am getting the EX71s for Christmas), but to me they do sound pretty bad. I'd give them a 6 probably.

I have two pairs of Apple buds - the ones that came with the iPod and the pair that came with the remote... I'd rate them 5... they're not awful, but they don't fit my ears properly (no stock buds do) so I use in-ear buds instead.

the high/medium tones sound good. However, the bass/low end is over exagerated and is too mushy. all of the sounds just blend and mold and become a mushy boom. not my favorite.

i give them a 4.. there not very comfortable and they don't sound the best either.

6. The way they're perfect round doesn't many peoples ears, and the bass does sound like poo. Most Apple speakers have that problem... My iBook, the eMacs... I want in-ear buds.

i give em a ####ing 1 uncomfortable and makes my ears hurt and the sound is absolutely horrible so I'm currently using my old headphones.
