whats with the short firewire cable with the photo???

I just got my 60GB today (manditory "I got my Photo" post coming soon with pics) and I noticed that the included firewire cable is a lot shorter then the one included with the 3G (not sure what the length was with the 4G). Looks like I will have to relocate the charging brick!!

Yeh, they reduced it on the 4Gs. Its pants to be honest! I still have an oldschool cable, and its much longer.

Perhaps it increases the transfer rate?

Less chance of the cable tangling up? I think it comes down to cutting cost. The shorter cable is not going to make any difference in charging or transfer performance compared to the longer cable (at least not at the length we're looking at here)
