Hey Striper...
I just purchased a 40 GB iPod Photo through Amazon. First off, it's $474.00 with no tax or shipping charges...that's already more than $25.00 off retail. No other place has it cheaper. Secondly, if you sign up for the Amazon Credit Card...and purchase the iPod with it, you'll get an extra $30.00 off. So, in the end, you'll get a $499.00 iPod Photo for $444.00...no tax and no shipping (if you get the free super saver shipping).
FYI, I didn't sign up for the card...but it's nice to know you have that option. I ordered it December 2nd...and I just got it this afternoon (Dec. 9).
