Does the iPod photo work with the Bose SoundDock?

Apple's site states the following:
Supports iPods with Dock Connector. Not compatible with iPod Photo.

Well, the only compatibility issue here is the size of the iPod photo compared to the standard 4G iPods. There is no technical reason that you couldn't connect the iPod photo to the Bose Sounddock, other than the fact that it might not fit.
A couple of reviews online have indicated that it does work, although some say it's a bit of a tight fit. In fact, Jeremy's review (http://www.ipodlounge.com/reviews_more.php?id=5445_0_6_0_M) here on iPodlounge indicates that it works with the iPod photo.

While I strolled into my local future shop they had one on display, I plunked my 60 gig photo into the dock and it started to play my music, I'm sure it's not recommended yet, but it works.

Actually, I tried that before I posted my answer. Their site was not particularly helpful or descriptive in terms of specs...
It works if you take the little fitting off (I tried it at the Bose store).

Does anyone know if Bose is going to make a clip that fits the iPod Photo? They give you 5 different plastic clips with the Bose system, so they clearly dont cost much to make. Seems like they could sell the new clip for a few bucks. I assume the only reason they did not include the clip for that is because the Photo was not out yet when they did their first run.

You may already have this answser but YES Bose does have a clip for the iPod Photo

In most cases if you contact them they will just send you the part.

Thanks for the tip, TheMiz! I had been wondering about this, as well. I've had my Bose for a few months, and I use it everyday. I just called Bose and they are sending me one at N/C...very good customer service, didn't even need to provide a serial number or anything, and they are sending it 2nd-day UPS...

I have still been using my 60GB Photo in the SoundDock, I just take the spacer completely out and I wedge a small piece of foam that is just the right thickness behind the iPod and the speaker grill as to eliminate any movement & damage to the Dock connector...I have the ultra-thin Lajo case that even covers the scroll wheel, so it will be interesting to see how it fits with the correct plate...
