Lets see how many have ordered or have the iPod Photo.

Only 2 choises, ordered and is coming soon, or, already have it. Because the NO answers might change later to yes, the poll is only to check how many have the iPod Photo 60GB

Nope, its directed to anyone who thinks 600 is too much. Thought 100 might not be a big difference still.

Wanted the 60Gb, and went into a local store fully prepared to buy one about a month ago, but they were out of stock, so being ultra-eager to get my hands on an iPod photo of any size, I settled for the 40Gb instead, and spent the difference on accessories (inMotion speakers, Belkin Media Reader, iTrip, iTalk, Navipod, etc).

Well, you can get educational discounts at the Apple store. It only amounts to around $50 off, but every little bit counts when you're a starving student.... :)

See http://www.apple.com/education/store

What about an option for all us people who haven't got one and haven't ordered one ;)

This is essentially a poll so it is now moved to the "iPod Polls" forum.

Thanks,

I think the extra 100$ is money well spent for 20GB more storage. Especially if you store lots of digital images as well as songs. Don't worry, the 80GB iPod Photo should be ready in about 6 months. :) Pod on!

I don't think I would ever need the 60GB photo. I don't see the need for pictures, unless there is a special way to show movies and I definitely don't have 60GB of music, yet :p But I think that 60GB is a bit too big. If I were to get a photo it would be the 40GB one, which I am looking into.

I got the 40gb Ipod photo on 11/20 @ best buy for $499.99... because they didn't have the 60gb.. Well last week *Wed 12/15/04* I saw that best buy had the 60gb in stock.. I went in Sat 12/18 which was my 29th day of owning the 40gb and exchanged it for the 60gb.. so now I'm a proud owner of a 60gb ipod photo =) and to top that off the 60gb was on sale for $569.99.. =) so I only had to add $70 bucks for 20 extra gigs and not to mention I used the 40gb photo pod for 29 days for free...
Oh yah It also came with a $100.00 rebate from best buy.. via gift card.. the only catch on that was I had to subscribe to audible for a year... i'm still thinking about that one.. ok bye now
