i'm looking at buying either an iPod photo or an iRiver H340 but cant decide which. i really like that the iRiver has fm tuner and can record radio direct to mp3. the iPod can output photos to display on TV (TV-out) which iRiver can't.
so which is the best buy?

Why don't you do some research?
Honestly, I don't see any advantage to owning either or. Its still an extremely small screen. Which to me=teh lame.
The only reason i would get the photo iPod is for those luscious 60 gigs... *droool*

i have a friend who wanted an ipod.
he bought it, but because the idiot at bestbuy told him that it was compatible with the new napster, he was dissapointed to discover that all his music purchased from the napster store would not load onto his ipod.
so, he returned it for an H320. he had it for all of 3 days, and it died. i dont know if that particular unit had issues, or if it's H320's in general, but just an advisory....
buyer beware ;)

Ipod is easier to use... you can find everything you need quickly and easily. Iriver is nice..but its size and layout don't compete with the ipod!

plus you can't beat the 60 gig's of the iPod photo, me wantee :)

it really depends what features you want more... I was happy to fogo the nice interface and get the ability to view pictures straight away, and also plug in a ??10 card reader instead of the belkin ripoff price tag for the media reader.
thats why I bought an iriver h340

hey the decision isnt that hard..
first of all, u might be able to compare the ipod with the iriver on a technical level. But thats as far as it goes, does the iriver has a community like this ? No it doesnt..
next to that..the ipod is like... jewelry, rather than an mp3 player ...
