I think purely design-wise, the Mini is the best. It's just like the others, but it's smaller. If they could cram 20 gigs into a Mini, that would be awesome.

After that, I vote 3G.

Are the click buttons raised on the 4G iPods?

Just wondering if the 4G buttons interfer with scrolling. The 3G scroll is nice and smooth, but the buttons are way too touch sensitive and often get pressed accidentally. So maybe the best design would be a combination of the 4G click buttons mounted outside of the scroll wheel like the 3G buttons...

No they follow the same contour as the wheel, and you have to actually click down to use the button, its hard to make an accidental click :p

I'd have to say that from a design/looks standpoint, the mini is the winner - the only thing it loses on is storage. The clickwheel is the best navigation system. For storage/price/design, my favourite is the 4G.

I would've voted mini except for one thing. I personally don't like the display of the mini. To me, it looks like everything is squashed onto a little screen of the iPod. It should be easy to read and I think that it is pretty difficult to look out without getting grossed out by it :p

i voted for 3rd gen. maybe coz i own one i dunno. but i do think they look the best, better than 4th gen. although i think the U2 one looks cool too. they should make ipod different colours like the ipod mini. wonder why they dont :confused:
