Hi, just received my Itrip, and to my horror found that I can't manually tune my car stereo, it scans
The ipod goes through the Griffin stations and eventually the radio will pick it up, not the best quality when it gets there
any thoughts?

Forget the itrip and get some sort of dirrect line input into the stereo. I know its going to cost and need installation, but if your conserned about quality then the itrip is never going to impress.
The quality you have it at now may just be the best you can get it to.

I have to say that I use my iTrip in a different hire car each week and the only ones I have big trouble with are the mercs. The E class was not really much use. If it is your own car then it is worth investing in a proper link.

You can do it, PITA though, you have to look in the owner's manual for your car, it is slighty different from comand to non-comand radios... or join owner's online on Mbusa.com (free) for the online manual.
Don't even try doing it in a 745li - in the 2002 model it is like 6 steps with the idrive system. What a waste of time.

Yeah, generally there's a way to manually tune the stereo despite the fact that it's set up to be all automatic, all the time.

I have a 99 C280 and have no problem with the radio..it looks like I lucked out by not trading up last year...
