Basically, the big question today is HOW DO I PUT MY iPOD IN MY CAR? Yes, there is always the iTrip, which everyone first tries, loves the music in their cars, but wants real bass and stuff with it. The only way is to have a hard wire connection. As long as you have AUX inputs, the skies are the limits for one.. There are so many products out there that all do the same thing. Play the iPod through your headunit. Most charge as well, which is awesome. But some have the song show up on the display, some allow control of the iPod as well as headunit control, some don't.
All I want to know is which kind of connection do you guys mostly prefer. I know things like the iCruze aren't out yet, but still, you can vote for it. I just want to hear the PROS and CONS of some of them. I want to get the best connection for the lowest price, as does everyone. I need your help people, any help and suggestions are great. PLEASE!

I'm looking at this solution for the ipod mini in the car too. Been and had a look at them all, and known about tha dension sstem for a while. They all look to be the same in principle..... Hook the iPod up to the stereo via the cd changer/aux port and get ipod control from the stereo.
So for me it comes down to the Dension Ice>Link:Plus.... my reasons may not suit others and may be a bit biased because I'm going on wha I can find and I can find most on the Dension.
The Dension apears to let you program functions on th ipod to keys on the stereo. You don't get suck with just predefined stuff. Plus the real plus for me is that it has the cradle mount. The others lok like they are just a cable. Trival to some but I like the idea of being able to slide the ipod in and out with ease, and not fiddle round having to hold the cable and ipod and clip them together. Also this is the newest of a generation of the dension line of Ice>Link system so they are tried and tested.
No direct way of measuring them against eah other unless you installed them all and tested them yourself. That way you could compare what really matters and thats sound quality.

Yea, that's what I am looking forwards to... the Dension Plus. But I have a question. Right now, I don't have any AUX ports, but have a factory installed 6 cd changer. Currently, I am plannning on purchasing a SOUNDGATE (NISSAUX) that eliminates the cd changer and uses the port to add AUX Ports. Is this necessary, or can the Dension hook up directly to the cd changer port? That would be awesome if it could... Thanks..

i know there is a writeup somewhere for how to hook up the ipod to a cd changer i cant remember where i saw it might wanna google it
my solution right now is just a tape adapter because my factory bose HU doesnt have aux and the only hardwire support is an icelink and they are out of stock so i decided to get a cassette adapter and put it in the coin drawer under the radio and i cant be happier its clear sound with all the bass i could want (turn the bass booster on the ipod) it works great for me the only complaint i have is not being able to leave it in the car overnight because it gets chilly (i probably could im just not willing to risk breaking it :( )
i know its not a hardwire solution but it's cheap and you could buy a car charger and leave it in the car if you want in my opinion though the only reason to get one of those would be if you have steering wheel controls and a HU that displays the songs and if i was going to pick one i would get the icelink (you get what you pay for IMO)

Oh, believe me, I would buy a cassette adapter in a second if I could, b/c I can live w/ it's sound quality. Yet, I do not have a cassette player in my HU, so there lies my problem. I will try to find what you are talking about using just the cd changer port, and not using it for AUX ports and then something else... Well, keep it comin people... what do you guys think?

Blazer5913, have you turned up any more info on this? I'm in the same situation. I read about iCruze today, and don't like the limits it places on just six or so playlists. Does the Denison allow better access? And anyone know of a better solution on the horizon? They generally show up right after I buy something...

There are always gonna be limits on how close a care stereo can mimic your ipod..... Unlells abble make a car stereo with a click wheel!!!
The dension system has limits but it does let you browse playlists and albums (I think) there is the user guide at densionusa.com.... I sugest reading that for a better idea of how it works.... seems good to me. One important factor is that if can be updated with new firmware levels to add improvements when they are developed.

My conclusion is that the Dension is the way to go. Unl playlists, turns the ipod off and on when its not in use. Charges, steering wheel control. Basically everything. Nothing really bad about it!>!>
