Hey All! Im happy to announce that I will be an iPod mini owner this Christmas, and as a gift from another family member, I was considering getting the Shure e2c's. Ive been reading reviews from all over the place, and I had a few questions specific to my needs....

I was wondering how concealable these babies are. If I had a large hooded sweatshirt on in Study-Period, would anyone be able to clearly make out that Im wearing them?

How loud is the external noise that they make. For example, when Ive got the iPod at half-volume or lower, would the person sitting to the right of left of me (about 3 feet) be able to hear them?

Also, is running the wire over your hears a bit uncomftorable? I was watching the flash demo on how to insert them and they look like the cord might wiggle and itch and become a pain.

Im not trying to break any rules by using music during our study block, in fact the study admin. doesnt really care, its just that I dont want to be that kid who pulls out a pair of Sony MDR7506 studio monitors and draw alot of attention to myself ;)

Thanks all! Take it easy and happy holidays!

Since they actually fit into the ears and the cords loop over the ears they would be fairly well concealed under a hooded shirt.

No one will hear any external noise at all. The sound is completely isolated to your ear canal. But, you won't be able to hear external noises around you either.

Also, is running the wire over your hears a bit uncomftorable? I was watching the flash demo on how to insert them and they look like the cord might wiggle and itch and become a pain.

The cord over the ears is neither wiggly or itchy. Running the cord behind the back of the neck and down the shirt may catch and pull a little though. Overall it is very comfortable way to wear earphones.

Hope that helps!
